DataGateway Document Output Management
Secure network print, distributed white paper digital print, variable data and transactional printing solution.
WML’s DataGateway is a scalable, secure, distributed print solution which is ideal for use in digital print production or mailroom environments. DataGateway is supplied as a standalone single application embedded appliance or a VMware image. A network of synchronised DataGateway appliances or virtual machines can be distributed across an enterprise’s wide area network to provide a centralised production print facility or managed print out sourcing. DataGateway utilises 256 bit SSL encryption as a part of the document transfer process.
DataGateway can, if required, trickle feed print data and print in real time instead of batch processing. This saves time and extends production print time to meet SLA’s. Full closed loop audit trail, including out for mail bar coding, is provided. This facility allows users to track individual documents and build sophisticated tailored production reports. Indexed PDF archiving is available as an option, as well as tracked electronic document delivery. Indexed scan data merging will also be offered in the near future.
DataGateway includes WML’s on board forms and logic manager. This allows PDF elements to be imported and laid out in an easy to use WYSIWYG profile editor. Stored profiles can be triggered from input data streams to provide a fully automated white paper digital printing solution.
DataGateway's most powerful feature is Document Content Control, which allows documents to be identified (page types and document type can both be determined) and quality controlled, with faulty documents being held for review. Document Content Control implementations have shown that even a well-managed organisation using market leading software may be sending 3% to 5% of their documents with faults that may lead to expensive fines or financial compensation at a later date.
Supported input data types include PDF, PostScript, XML, CSV, Jetforms, Prescribe and text. Input data can be transferred to any printer in the wide area network, a local desktop printer, MFD or centralised remote production facility.
Email alerts for production and failover can be configured to inform support staff that data has stopped on a queue or that a minimum document transfer rate has not been met. Automated per-queue failover can be configured to be routed locally or remotely to allow for continuous production and disaster recovery.
DataGateway will accept data via LPR, raw port printing, SFTP and drag and drop hot folder per input queue.
Real time document collation
WML has implemented a sophisticated page collation process that analyses input data streams based on simple user defined rules. A held document database will hold documents until all elements are present. When a document is complete it is printed and finished in real time. Full reporting is provided about incomplete documents; transferring any missing pages to a queue will complete the document and cause it to print. This feature allows data to arrive in multiple batches and to be built into complete documents on the fly. It will also allow the mixing of data types, i.e. indexed scan data and print data steams. For further information contact:
