Power Linux users will appreciate the ability to launch a bare terminal on the WML Linux Thin Client. The client provides a number of tools which sysadmins and power users will find useful, including the Gnu nano text editor, numerous utilities provided by busybox, ssh, scp and sftp as well as command line access to the connection programs provided by the thin client (vncviewer, rdesktop, nxclient, firefox, dillo and wfica).

The screenshot shows a typical power user session in which the user has opened an ssh tunnel to a remote server (using the terminal, bottom left). The tunnelled port has then been used to open a secure vnc connection to the target server (dewey - see window top right). Also visible is the local firefox web browser in the top left of the screenshot and the Connection Manager to the bottom right. This user has enabled the terminal button in the Connection Manager and the task bar which shows a list of programs at the bottom of the screen.
